The Northern Irishman took the position on a temporar൲y basis in February after Brendan Rodgers opted to le𒅌ave for Leicester City.

An illustrious Triple Treble was claimed in 2018/19 and the challenge for Lennon next season is to main💮tain the club’s monoꦇpoly on Scottish football.

Jagielka only played seven games for the Toffees last season, struggling for games under Marco Si꧅lva. He could relish the chance to head north of the border, to finish his career possibly playing Champions League football.

In 12 years on ♏Merseyside, the ex-Sheffield United defender played 385 games for the Toffees.

Some supporters saw hi🔴♔s departure as a surprise, but Everton’s loss could well be Celtic’s gain.

Filip Benkovic will r🍰eturn to Leicester and Dedryck Boyata will leave the club. As a result, that will leave Ajer as the club’s only natural central defender and reinforcements will be necessary.

The 21-year-old has the potential to go on and play in one of Europe’s top leꩵagues. For now, he needs some guidance. By placing Jagielka alongside him next season could prove a masterstroke﷽ by Neil Lennon.
