‘Brilliant’ Leeds player is ready to stay at Elland Road, he wants to fight to get his place back
Liam Cooper is reportedly ready to fight for his place at Leeds United, with the Whites captain yet fully gain Daniel Farke’s trust.
The 32-year-old Scotland international has been in and out of the Leeds side all season, with Cooper🐼 making just seven starts in the Championship since last year’s relegation from the Premier League.
🀅Having been a regular under Marcelo Bielsa, Cooper’s fall from the starting XI has resulted in a number of English clubs taking an interest in the defender, namely Blackburn Rovers.

𝔍However, , Cooper has no plans to leave the Elland Road side this January, with the defender eager to fight for his place back in the Leeds defence.
Lauded by Robbie Keane as a ‘brilliant’ defender🍸, Cooper’s recent start in the FA Cup against Plymouth Argyle hints that the centre-back could be used more by Farke in 2024.
🌱And given how important a figure the Scotland international actually is to the Whites, Cooper’s attitude to stay and fight for his place is one that his manager could appreciate greatly.
Liam Cooper can show Leeds why he is a modern-day icon

🎃Cooper was one of the most influential figures in Leeds Premier League promotion back in 2020, with the defender an ever-present player under Bielsa during his incredible stint in Yorkshire.
🌠And with the centre-back at his lowest point in quite some time, Cooper’s attitude to stay and fight is admirable, and it could lead to the club captain returning to Leeds’ starting XI.
𒅌As we know, a lot football has to be played between now and the end of the season, with Leeds in with a realistic shot of gaining promotion with their current crop of players.
🌃And Cooper could again play a key role for the Whites if Farke decides to bring the skipper back into the team, a prospect that many fans would love to see later this year.
