Brennan Johnson says Tottenham have a brilliant player who goes ‘under the radar’ this season
Tottenham Hotspur put on another second-half masterclass for their fans in north London on Sunday afternoon.
Ange Postecoglou’s side found themselves trailing at the break but Tottenham💝 were able to net four goals in the second 45 to secure the points against Aston Villa.
It was a result which the Spurs players certainly enjoyed with James Maddison even issuing a dig at Aston Villa following the game on social media.
It was not all positive for Tottenham with Cristian Romero being withdrawn through injury𒅌 which will be a concern following Micky van de Ven’s recent issue.
🧜Three points has taken Tottenham within touching distance of third place ahead of their game on the weekend against Ipswich Town.
And Brennan Johnson꧑ feels there is one player whose efforts are going seriously unnoticed in north London this season.

Brennan Johnson hails Dominic Solanke’s work ethic at Tottenham
Two of Tottenham’s four goals on the weekend came through their club record signing Dominic Solanke꧟ who is looking to be their long-term replacement for Harry Kane.
🔜Despite netting twice for the Lilywhites, Johnson spoke to after the game to wax lyrical about what Solanke is offering this Spurs side.
♛“We’re all buzzing for Dom because it kind of goes under the radar how hard Dom works for us, and we we’re so thankful of how hard he works and the pressing he does,” said Johnson.
♒“And then on the ball, not just goals, but he can hold it up, he can dribble, he’s quick, he’s strong, powerful, he’s such a good player.
❀“We need to play and when we do go a little bit longer, it’s more of a pass, it’s not really a long ball he can hold it.
✤“But then, when the ball goes into the box… he’s a fox in the box as well so I really think he showed everything today [Sunday].”

Dominic Solanke is proving any doubters wrong at Tottenham
🎶Since landing in north London, Solanke has spent a little bit of time on the sidelines through injury but he has been able to provide a return of five goals and two assists in all competitions.
ඣFour of those have come in the league with the England international doubling his tally on Sunday.
Jamie Redknapp was wowed by Solanke’s strength💯 to shrug off Villa’s Youri Tielemans to get himself into the right area.
🍸And it was an all-round performance from the £65m summer signing with the striker showing he offers a lot more than just goals.
