Brendan Rodgers says there’s three ‘excellent’ Celtic players he’s ‘so proud’ of

Celtic’s win over St Mirren on Sunday certainly seems to have that feel as a turning point for Brendan Rodgers and his team.

The fans have been worried about the la🌱ck of intensity and attacking flair▨ and how they have struggled to break teams down.

Although, against St Mirren, the performance wasn’t completely up to the level the Celtic fans have gotten used to, it was a step in the right direction.

But as well as improving their attacking intent, it was at the back where Rodgers was most impressed. The Celtic manager was🅰 delighted with the defensive performance and name꧃s three players he admits he was really ‘proud’ of.

Anthony Ralston, Stephen Welsh and Liam Scales all impress the Celtic manager

At any given point this season all three defen♎ders have done their part for the Celtic team. But on Sunday, Rodge💧rs reserved special praise for the trio.

Rodgers said [], “Our centre-halve🌟s did very well today. The big guy up fr𝐆ont is a handful and there were a lot of direct balls.

(Stephen) Welsh and (Liam) Scales stood up to it. Tony Ralston was excellent.

“These are guys𒆙 who will fight and give you absolutely ev🔥erything in the game.

“That’s why I was so proud of them.”

Although mainly bit-part players, Welsh and Ralston have never let Rodgers down whenever thꦆe Celtic manager has called upon them.

As for Scales, well his story has been well documented on TBR Celtic. The Republic of Ireland international has been excellent 🐓for Celtic this season.

From almost leaving the club in the summer, Scales has become one of the stalwarts in Rodgers’ side and has proven himself on the European and international stages.

Admitting he would love to stay at Celtic, Scales has done his chances of ⛎winning a new contract at the club no harm with his form this season.
