Aston Villa ready to give new contracts to two key players after Jhon Duran signs new deal
EXCLUSIVE with Graeme Bailey
Aston Villa have to be very hap💟py with how their season is going so far.
The Villans are, once again, flying hi🧜gh♔ in the Premier League, and they’re also, remarkably, top of the table in the Champions League.

However, it’s not just on the pitch ꧋where Villa have been excelling.
Unai Emery’s side made a number of brilliant signingsꦏ in the summer, but perhaps one of their most important pieces of business this year has been to give Jhon Duran a new contract.
Duran has just signed a new long-term deal at V🔯illa Park, and now, two more star players could be set to sign exten💞sions.

Morgan Rogers and Jacob Ramsey set for new Aston Villa contracts
Sources have confirmed to TBR Football that Aston Villa are ready to offer new deals for Morgan Rogers and Jacob Ramsey.
Thꦡe English prospects are both shi🦋ning under Unai Emery.
Rogers is contracted to Villa until 2029 having only joined from Middlesbrough in January, but he has shown remarkable progress and not only is he now a key member of the first-team but he has been s♛trongly linked with a senior England call-up.
That is yet to come, but Villa have recognised his progress and are ready to h🌠and him what sources describe as a ‘significant’ pay rise. Talks over a new deal are progressing and will see him tied to the club to beyond 20🌳30.
Ramsey is one of the most heralded graduates of Villa’s academy in recent years and is he✃ld in huge regard by Emery and the club.
He has been the subject of interest from the likes of Chelsea, Newcastle and Tottenham – but that was entirely PSR related as𝔉 Ramsey could have raised a huge sum, in excess of £4ౠ0m.
But Villa do not w🍰ant to lose☂ the midfielder and are ready to offer him a bumper new deal, with his current contract running to 2027.
He has shown this season he is an important part of the first-team with 11 appear🌱ances with across the Premier League and Champions League, and he has started most of those. He has also contributed two assists and a goal.
Which Aston Villa players have expiring contracts?
Ramsey and Rogers may be in line for n꧂ew contracts at Aston Villa,🔴 but are there any other players who need new deals?
Villa actually look to be in good shape 🌠i𓆏n terms of their contract situations, and many of their key players aren’t in danger of leaving for free anytime soon.
Aston Villa soon-to-be free agents | Contract expiry date |
Robin Olsen | 2025 |
Kourtney Hause | 2025 |
Emi Buendia | 2026 |
Lucas Digne | 2026 |
Tyrone Mings | 2026 |
Diego Carlos | 2026 |
Robin Olsen a🌌nd Kourtney Hause wouldn’t be big misses at Villa Park if they were to leave next year, so those situations may not even need addressing.
Diego Carlos, Tyrone Mings and Lucas Digneꦯ are all good enouꦍgh to be important to Unai Emery’s team, but each of those three players are the wrong side of 30 now and with Pau Torres, Ezri Konsa and Ian Maatsen already at Villa Park, replacements are in place, so contract talks aren’t a huge priority there.
Emi Buendia is an interesting case study here.
Buendia is a very talented player, James Maddison has even praised Buendia recently, but he does have a terrible injury record, and he earns a big 🦩wage – £75,000-♎a-week according to .
Buendia is worth ♓that wage when he is playing, but staying fit has been the problem for the playmaker in recent years.
Aston Villa don’t have many huge contract calls to make in the near future,🍰 but Buendia is the one player who may give the hi﷽gher-ups at Villa Park some food for thought in the coming months.
