Aston Villa fans react to Callum O’Hare’s promotion celebrations
Aston Villa talent Callum O’Hare has seemingly made his allegiances quite clear this week, as he took to the streets (seemingly alone) to celebrate loan club Coventry City’s promotion to the Championship.
Coventry City have been promoted to the Championship after points per game decided the end of the League One season.
O’Hare spent the 2019-20 campaign with the Sky Blues, playing 39 games, scoring four goals and providing seven assists.
The 22-year-old was a key player for Coventry and clearly loved the news that they were promoted, judging by this video.
We’re all aren’t we?

Aston Villa fans have taken the video as a sign that O’Hare is on his way out of the club.
The talented playmaker is out of contract this summer and there has been no talk of any imminent renewal.
For the most part, Aston Villa fans on Twitter have actually reacted well to O’Hare’s video. He has knocked on the first-team door for some time at Villa Park but never managed to establish himself and an exit now seems like the right thing for him to do.

Indeed, one Villa fan even compared his antics to those of Tyrone Mings, who wore his Aston Villa shirt from the play-off final win all the way back to parent club Bournemouth last season, before signing a permanent deal at Villa.
Hopefully, O’Hare can get a move to Coventry and continue to forge a career for himself at Aston Villa’s rivals. Of course, there is every chance he could face Villa for the club next season if that does turn out to be the case. At which point, Aston Villa fans will hope he has a quiet day at the office.
It will be a shame if O’Hare leaves as he has the makings of a good player. At 22 he isn’t really a prospect anymore though, so if he goes then so be it…

Honestly can’t get to worked up if Callum O’Hare stays or goes. He’s not had many chances, but in the ones he has, he’s not done enough really to say that he’s going to have a career at Aston Villa. Sometimes you have to make the smallest chance count, he hasn’t. ?♂️

Get O’Hare straight down to BMH, great impact player for our run in and years ahead of our other youth teamers

Coventry aren’t, in any shape or form, relevant to Villa so idk why some fans are moaning that O’Hare is celebrating :/

Is O’Hare not supposed to celebrate a team he has contributed to securing a promotion I’m confused ??
— Jordan Spencer (@JordAvfc)
Wait till O’Hare talks to the Baggies or Leicester. Neighboring clubs coming to raid us. And deservedly so. We’ve hampered growth and treated our own young ones awfully.

They singing some chants laugh at Villa. I wanna sing back but I think save my life is more important(joke).just Respect to them. They have a dream season. Congratulate to Callum O’Hare won the champion. Hope He stay in VP.

Have you not seen the video? Even I’m beginning to think I’d be more likely to get a signature from O’Hare on a Cov contract than a Villa one…looking like a lost cause for Villa ?

I agree, can’t fault him. Clear path ahead of him at Cov, Villa not so much. Also wonder was it a coincidence that Cov used his photo as the first in their “pending” promotion tweet? Maybe we will see him in the stands one day like Albrighton, if he really is one of our own!

Shades of Mings last season here, can`t see us seeing him in a Villa shirt again sadly

Good luck for the rest of your career at Coventry, hope we do you at villa park though.take it you’re still playing at the sty next season ? You always beat us at “Coventry” well you used too at Highfield road
