Aston Villa fans react as Danny Drinkwater extends loan stay
Aston Villa are set to confirm the loan extension of Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater
🃏The 30-year-old was on the bench for Villa in the 1-0 defeat to Wolves but missed the club’s previous three fixtures with an injury.
⛎Drinkwater will be desperate to revive his career at Villa Park, having failed to get going so far.
🌼The midfielder has featured five times for the club who are currently staring relegation in the face.
ꦺVilla are 19th in the Premier League and face the embarrassing prospect of an instant return to the Championship.
💖Boss Dean Smith may feel that he can call upon the experience of Drinkwater during the club’s final six games of the campaign.
🌜The Villans haven’t won since January; losing six of their last eight fixtures.
🌄It is claimed that the Villa coaching staff have been impressed with Drinkwater’s attitude in training.
🌸With that in mind, an extension to his loan has been sought with Chelsea happy to oblige for the final run-in.
🌱Some Villa fans do remain uncertain of what part Drinkwater can play for the remainder of the season.
