Arsenal quoted £50m for Champions League ace likened to Bruno Guimaraes
Arsenal are enjoying a bright campaign and, with the January transfer window on the horizon, they could well look to bring in some mid-season reinforcements.
The Gunners could do with looking for some 🌸new midfielders, with Jorginho and Thomas Partey set to be out of contract at the end o♎f the season.
Indeed, transfer speculation linking Mikel Arteta’s side with a new 🥂midfielder has been doing the rounds for months.
For instance, Arওsenal are repor꧂tedly still monitoring Martin Zubimendi, while Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Larsson is said 🌼to be a target for Arsenal and Tottenham.
Now, a report has emerged claiming Arsenal have been quoted £50million for a “powerfu⭕l” Champions League midfielder reminiscent of Bruno Guimaraes.

Arsenal quoted £50m for Atalanta’s Ederson
The player in question is Atalanta’s Eder♏son and, according to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport (print edition, 6/12/2024, pg. 11), the Gunners have enquired about the B൩razilian.
Liverpool are♊ also said to have made contact over Ederson, but both the Gunners and the Reds reportedly balked at Atalanta’s €60million (£50million) valuation of the player.
TBR Football previously revealed that the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham and Newcastle have all s🌠couted Ederson this season.
Better still, Ederson has seemingly decided that a move to England is his preferenc🐷e, which is welcome news for the Premier League chasing pack.
However, the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and all 🍸of Ederson’s other suitors will need to work harder if they are to convince Atalanta to strike a deal.
What Arsenal could expect if they signed Ederson
Earlier this year, South American football expert Tim Vickery suggested that Eders♓on would be a good shout for Newcastle.
The Brazilian midfielder has numerous great traits and virtues that are reminiscent of Bruno Guimaraes, according to Vickery.
“He’s a strong, well-built central midfielder,” he told Sky Sports News. “He’s strong💮 on th𝕴e ball, versatile, box-to-box and has a strong personality as well.
“The first thing I remembᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚer about him is his profes♎sional debut for Cruzeiro, who were really on the slide at the time.
“They w𓃲ere relegated in dreadful form but even in that bad contex🌜t, he stood out.
“So, a lot of virtues and I just wonder if all these virtues may remind you of another Brazilian alrea🌄dy wearing the shirt of Newcastle.”
With Atalanta triumphing in the Europa League last season and now playing in the Champions Leag𓄧ue, there will be more opportunities to see Ederson shine on the big stage.
