Arsenal could use Jakub Kiwior in swap deal to sign £70m Premier League star

Although most Arsenal fans will be focused on a second-leg against Real Madrid right now, new sporting director Andrea Berta is seemingly already working tirelessly ahead of the summer.

Arsenal are anticipating a big few months of spending and Berta has seemingly been brought in because of his ability to execute groundbreaking deals across Europa.

Of course, there are also a few high-profile moves that Arsenal might target domestically.

Mikel Arteta would love to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United for example, even if that is looking less and less realistic by the week.

But in terms of other top Premier League talent, a new opportunity might have just arisen for Berta and his recruitment team.

Crystal Palace want to sign Jakub Kiwior from Arsenal

According to , Crystal Palace are now interested in a deal for Jakub Kiwior this summer, who has impressed since Gabriel Magalhaes’ injury.

Kiwior wants to leave Arsenal regardless of how many opportunities he gets before the end of the season.

The Poland international is aware that he’s not going to get chances ahead of Gabriel and William Saliba when both are fit, explaining why he wants a new challenge.

Therefore, Palace’s interest in Kiwior could be opportune for the Gunners, who might be able to negotiate a deal for Marc Guehi in return.

Arsenal have shown interest in Guehi in the past, and it’s widely believed that the centre-back will leave south London with just one-year left on his contract this summer.

Guehi has a £70m price tag according to some reports, but perhaps his contract situation and the inclusion of Kiwior in a deal could see that fee heavily reduced.

Marc Guehi might be reluctant to join Arsenal

Of course, it is worth considering whether Guehi would be tempted to join Arsenal this summer given he’d face the same issue as Kiwior in terms of disrupting Arteta’s established pairing.

But to put it bluntly, Guehi would be much better equipped to challenge the pair for regular minutes – the kind of healthy competition that Arteta craves.

Right now, Chelsea and Liverpool are pushing to sign Guehi but perhaps the inclusion of Kiwior in any deal could be Arsenal’s trump card.

Although, it should be considered that Kiwior is extremely keen to return to Italy this summer where he does have interest.

But Oliver Glasner’s project at Selhurst Park clearly has a lot of pull – just ask Eddie Nketiah.

And whilst Kiwior’s time at Arsenal could be coming to and end, there’s no reason why he couldn’t still thrive at another Premier League side, and Guehi would obviously be very welcome at the Emirates Stadium in return.

Guehi seriously rates Gabriel Jesus at Arsenal, and England international would surely love to become his teammate.
