Arsenal believe they have the money to sign £59.2m striker compared to Erling Haaland with talks now underway

TBR Football understand Arsenal are pushing to sign Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig – and feel they have the money to sign the Slovenia international this winter.

Mikel Arteta🎃 has already acknowledged the fact Arsenal need a new striker after losing Gabriel Jesus to a serious knee injury, admitting earlier in January: “We are going to try for sure. We are actively looking. Let’s see what we can get.”

The Gunners need a spark to maintain their Premier League🦂 title hopes – with Liverpool currently sat six points clear with a game in hand.

🍨The winter transfer window is obviously a tough time to recruit new signings – with very few clubs willing to lose key players during the middle of the campaign.

Now – however – TBR Football have been told Arsenal are trying to tempt RB Leipzig into selling Benjamin Sesko before the February 3rd transfer deadline.

🐭Sources add that there is believed to be a gentleman’s agreement between RB Leipzig and Sesko – which states any offer in the region of €70m (£59.2m) would at least be seriously discussed.

🙈Jurgen Klopp – who now works as Global Head of Soccer at Red Bull – is currently talking to the hierarchy at RB Leipzig to decide whether or not to entertain Arsenal’s interest.

🍷The Gunners have already been told in no uncertain terms that a loan deal will not be considered – not even one involving an option or obligation to buy this summer.

TBR Football understand Sesko – who Manchester United have scouted🍌 – has long been one of Arsenal’s most wanted targets.

🦂However, the north Londoners are keen to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner, and do not want to make a bid for the 21-year-old without RB Leipzig’s permission, keen to avoid unsettling the striker.
