Arsenal and Manchester United were both offered chance to sign ‘very important’ Paris Saint-Germain player
Arsenal’s summer transfer window is now behind them with focus now on the action on the pitch.
The Gunners were able to double their tally of summer arrivals on deadline day with Neto and Raheem Sterling both announced in the final hours.
Up until then, Mikel Arteta had only seen Riccardo Calafiori and Mikel Merino land at Arsenal in the transfer window.
The signing of Sterling on loan was more of an opportunity that presented itself than anything else with the Chelsea winger no longer in💦 Enzo Marseca’s plans.
It is believed Arteta was pushing Edu Gaspar to look into signing🅰 Sterling having found out about his availability.
And it seems as if Arteta may have chosen to go with Sterling over another player who they were off💯ered the chance to sign from Paris Saint-Germain.

Arsenal and Manchester United offered chance to sign Paris Saint-Germain playmaker
This summer’s transfer window offered both the Gunners and Manchester United with an opportunity to really bol♌ster𝕴 their squad.
Erik ten Hag saw a number of players also come through the doors over recent weeks following a seriously underwhelm🧜ing 2023/24 campaign.

Acco🃏rding to , both Arsena💖l and the Red Devils were offered the chance of signing Marco Asensio this summer.
Despite PSG offerඣing Asensio around before the deadline on Friday, the Spaniard is now stuck in Paris after a move away did not materialise for him.
The 28-year-🌸old would have made for a late deal for either side wi🍎th the playmaker being offered to the Premier League clubs on deadline day.
But despite Arsenal having✱ previously shown an interest in Asensio, neither them of the Red Devils decided to look further into the possible deal for the player who Carlo Ancelotti hailed ‘‘.
Arsenal put all efforts into signing Raheem Sterling
In what was one of the bigger surprises to come out of this summer🍸’s transfer window, Arsenal ended up signing Sᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚterling on loan for the season.
It is believed that there was no loan fee paid by Arsenal for Sterling an🐲d Chelsea will be heavily subsidising his wages.
Adding a player of Sterling’s experience on deadline day was clearly an opportunistic move which Edu admitted he did not expect to sign Stꦑerling on d🐈eadline day.
But the Gunners have put their hopes on Sterling to provide the backup they needed on the wings despite having not enjoyed the best of s🌼𓄧pells in west London with Chelsea.
