Arne Slot shares what people have privately told him about Goodison Park ahead of Everton vs Liverpool derby

The final Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park is upon us as Everton host Liverpool in the Premier League.

The rivalry between the two clubs is fierce, and David Moyes’ return to Merseyside ha🌊s increased the hype ahead of the clash on Wednesday night.

The derby will be Arne Slot’s first at Goodison Park too, and we’re sure Toffees fans will show 𓆏him why their home is one of the most difficult stadiums to visit in the country.

The Liverpool manager, however, seems prepared.

What Arne Slot has heard about Goodison Park ahead of Everton vs Liverpool

Slot has done a magnificent job since replacing Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

There were fears over h💮ow the Dutchman would fare at Anfield. Some Reds fans were concerned that their new boss could face the same problems that Unai Emery and David Moyes did when they replaced Arsen▨e Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson respectively.

However, Slot has made Liverpool the favourites to win the Premier League title, and it won’t surprise anyone if they go all the way in the Champions League as well.

The focus now, however, is on Everton, and♍ Slot has revealed what people have told him about the Atmosphere inside Goodison Park.

The 𝓀Reds boss also touched on what happened in the same fixture la𒊎st season.

He said, as per : “I haven’t been to one but people𒐪 tell me at Goodison Park, as at Anfield, it’s always a fantastic atmosphere. Home supporters are there to support their team and the away fans are mostly loud as well.

“It’s probably going to be a fantasti🦹c atmos꧋phere and that’s never easy to play against because every single time they cross the halfway line, or they get a corner kick, or whatever happens, the fans will cheer for that.

“Then, you have👍 to be mentally r❀eally strong as an away team to resist all that, the complete atmosphere, and you still have to be focused on what you have to do; defending the corner kick, defending the set-piece. When you have the ball, be as calm as you can in this fantastic atmosphere.”

Speaking about the game las🐎t seasonও, Slot said: “I’ve seen the game of last season, for example, I think we were quite ready because after 10 minutes the referee blew his whistle 11 times and 10 times in favour of Everton!

“The Liverpool players were ready to compete, but every time they touched them it was a freekick. I assume our players are ready for another battle tomorrow for the simple reason that they havꦓe been ready for the whole season and many of them are experienced for this tie.”

What has happened in the last five Merseyside Derbies at Goodison Park

Everton a🦄re usually a very hard side to beat at Goodison Park.

The home fans there make it extremely difficult for the opponents to be at theꦆir best, and Everton have picked up some good results there over the years.

Liverpool’s recent record at Good𓂃ison isn’t great either.

It will be interesting to see how the𒈔 game will pan out on Wednesday night.
