Liverpool boss Arne Slot shares what people need to ‘talk about’ when it comes to Dominik Szoboszlai

Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai delivered another masterclass as the Reds ran out 2-0 winners over Newcastle United on Wednesday night.

Szoboszlai, fresh from a superb display in the weekend win over Manchester City, was once again at his best as Liverpool triumphed over Newcastle.

The Reds took the lead inside 12 min🐻utes when Luis Diaz cut the b✱all back for Szoboszlai to fire beyond Nick Pope in the box.

Liverpool then made it 2-0 in the 63rd minute when Mohamed Salah collected Alexis Mac Allister’s pass and squ🉐ared it back to him to fire home.

The Reds’ victory, combined with Arsenal’s 0-0 draw at Nottingham Forest, saw Arne Slot’s side go 13 points clear at the toꦗp of the Premier L♏eague table.

And Slot, speak🧸ing after the game, shared what he feels people should be focusing on in wake of Szoboszlai🀅’s heroics against Newcastle.

Arne Slot says Liverpool star Dominik Szoboszlai “runs for two players”

Slot suggested Szoboszlai hasn’t been getting the credit he deserves, saying he’s been “very im𒉰portant” all season but this “wasn’t always seen”.

The Liverpool boss – who watꦛched the game from the stands due to suspension – also said he believe♍s Szoboszlai’s work-rate was more important than his goal.

Indeed, Slot reckons the Hungary international runs like♛ “two players” instead of just one.

“He has been very i🌼mportant for us for the whole season but it wasn’t always seen,” he said, as per the Premier Leaguඣe .

“People will talk about his goal, which they should because it wa🐬s a good goal.

“🍬But I think what helped the team even more was the amount of times he won the second ball and won the ball back.

“He runs for two players. That deserves even more credit than scoring 🌌a goal.”
