Arne Slot names the two Liverpool players who blew him away in 2-2 draw with Fulham
Arne Slot and his Liverpool side dropped points for just the fourth time this season after their 2-2 draw with Fulham at Anfield.
Andy Robertson’s red card in the first half completely changed the complexion of the task for Liverpool, even if 𝓡they often still .looked like a tea🎶m playing with 11.
🍌Fulham have been excellent this season but Liver🦩pool were still the better side with and without the ball.
Unfortunately from Slot’s perspective, his side weren’t🌠 able to deliver a dramatic 3-2 win in the dying m🎶oments, when it felt as if the home side were playing with 12, not 10.

Arne Slot praises Diogo Jota and Harvey Elliott after Liverpool injury returns
That being said, speaking to shortly after full time, Slot paid tribute to Diogo Jota and Harvey Elliott who returned f༒rom a lengthy injuryﷺ to score against Liverpool.
The Liverpool manager said that b꧋oth ‘showed up’ and went on to praise Jota even more, hailing his 🅷clever positioning up top.
Initially spe꧒akin🦂g about the performance as a whole, Slot said: “So many things happened but what stood out for me was how impressive our performance was with 10 men.
“The result is disappointing if you play at home to Fulham. The game was stopped for so many minutes so maybe th⛎at helped us.

“We ran for 11. The players put in an outst🥃anding performance with pressing. We had more problems at 11 v 11 than we did when we were down to 10.
“It happens in a season that you get a red card. It’s good we are a🌊 team that is very difficult to beat.
“We had Jota back, Harvey Ellio𓂃tt, we have players back and they showed up. I could♋n’t have asked for more.
“Jota is so intelligent with his positioning and with what to do wit🍃h the ball. It was a great team goal. It’s💃 nice to have him back, he’s been away for two months.
“We lost toꦜ Nottingham, Arsenal, Newcastle we dropped poi♔nts. You can look at it that way but you don’t want to drop points in a home game against Forest and Fulham.”
Trent Alexander-Arnold contract update
Of 💟course, Liverpool will now be swiftly refocusing their minds o🍒n a trip to face Southampton in the EFL Cup quarter-final in midweek.
That outing then precludes a trip to north London to face T🃏ottenham Hotspur next weekend – two of the sides four remaining fixtures this year.
And whilst the predominant focus will be on these games, Liverpool do also have three crucial contract situations unfolding in the 𒁏background right now.
To that end, Trent Alexander-Arnold made a contract admission in the lead up to Liverpool’s draw with Fulham.
A player, alongside Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah🤪, that this exciting Liverpool project would be loath to lose.
