Antonio Rudiger says player Tottenham sold for £11m is the most underrated player he’s ever seen 

Tottenham Hotspur aren’t the most decorated club in the Premier League, but they have had some fantastic players represent the club over the years.

♒The likes of Gareth Bale and Luka Modric are obvious examples as they moved on to greener pastures after making a name for themselves in North London.

Mauricio Pochettino’s🐻 team, in particular, was a side that earned plaudits from fans and pundits alike for their attractive brand of football as they came close to winning the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.

And Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger feels a vital cog from Pochettino’s Tottenhamꦓ side is the most underrated player he’s ever seen in his career.

Mousa Dembele𒉰 played 250 games for the club across all competitions between 2012 and 2019.

💮When asked to name the most underrated player he’s come across, Rudiger quickly named the former Belgian midfielder, who retired in 2022 after a brief spell in China.

✱“Mousa Dembele from Tottenham Hotspur. Wow, wow,” said Rudiger on The Inside Scoop Podcast.

꧅“This guy, no disrespect to Tottenham, but I don’t know how he didn’t play for a higher club.

🐟“I really don’t know how because he had everything. I’ve never seen someone as strong as him. He was like a wall.

🔴“And technique – poof! He didn’t know pressure. You can pass him the ball and two men can be behind him – no problem!”

Mousa Dembele was a sight to behold for Tottenham

🔯Hailed as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League during his prime, Dembele’s strength and ball-carrying ability was off the charts as he ran the show for Tottenham and Belgium in the centre of the park.

🦂The 37-year-old’s technical ability allowed him to play various roles in midfield with consummate ease as he enjoyed a fantastic career at the top.

💦Dembele was sold to Chinese Super League club Guangzhou R&F for a fee believed to be in the region of in January 2019, where he played for three years before hanging up his boots.
