Angry Kris Boyd admits there’s one Celtic player who does deserve praise after last night

As drama goes, Celtic’s win over Hibs last night had it all. Penalties, a brilliant equaliser from the home side and last minute winner, in terms of late drama, this game was up there.

But for all the excitement at the end, the game in itself was a fairly insipid affair and for the Celtic fans, it looked like Hi𓆏bs could have won the match after their tails were up when Dylan Levitt smashed home his 60-th minute equaliser.

Celtic were under the cosh for much of the remaining 30 minutes but an Adam Idah spot kick was enough to snatch the three points and leave Sky Sports pundit, Kris Boyd, seething.

Speaking post-match, Boyd said Celtic robbed Hibs and that Brendan Rodgers‘ side were very lucky not to drop more points.

He did, 🅷however, offer some grudging praise the the penalty hero, Ad♚am Idah.

Boyd said [], “Any game you want 𒐪to get the three points, but make no mis♏take Celtic got away with one tonight there is no doubt about that.

“He has come up (Ida𓂃h) and a lot of people were asking questions of him before 𒁃he came up but to score two massive penalties the way he did, credit to him.

“When you win the game everything changes around it and 🐠you think you were dominant in it, but Celtic were way below the standards they have set over the last two years. It wa﷽s daylight robbery and they have got away with one tonight.”

With Celtic now three points ahead in the title race, Rodgers has a little bit of breathing space heading into the Scottish Cup clash with St Mirren.

🅠Granted, Rangers do still have a game in hand but as the saying goes, it’s better to have the points on the board.

However, Celtic do need to find a way of improving their performances and finding their killer touch because the result aside, there wasn’t really much to shout about in that 90-mi♋nute showing at Easter Road.
