Ange Postecoglou shares exactly what his plan for Mikey Moore is at Tottenham this season
Tottenham Hotspur have to wait until Monday night to get their 2024/25 campaign up and running with their trip to Leicester City.
But this will give Ange Postecoglou some extra hours to think about his starting XI for the game against the newly-promoted outfit.
And the Australian certainly has come big decisions to make with his Tottenham side now filled full of quality options across the board.
The summer was a positive one for Spurs who played a number of friendlies within the United Kingdom as well as in the Asian heat.
During those games, some promising youngsters showed their ability with Mikey Moore proving to be the real star of the summer for Spurs.

How Ange Postecoglou plans to use Tottenham’s Mikey Moore
Over the summer, Spurs have brought in Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall has joined the squad after signing back in January.
The Lilywhites look to be in good stead for the future with Gray having seriously impressed those around the club during Tottenham’s pre-season.
But it is Moore which has been the real standout over the summer and Postecoglou has now said exactly how he plans to use him this season.
Speaking on SpursPLAY ahead of Monday’s game, Postecoglou has admitted that Moore is going to be used in the first team.
“You always like to see that come through [at the club] and it’s a credit to him and his family that he’s still a very young man but already making a mark at our football club,” said Postecoglou.
“I’ve said all along, he’s made a really positive impression on us back end of last year and he’s had a really strong summer with us.
“The plan is to keep him in the first team and allow him to develop. There’s still U21s games where he can play, but even last year he missed the large part of the year with injuries, he didn’t play much in the U21s.
“For us, having him part of the first team, I’m sure he’ll play some first team games as well. i think that’ll be important.”
Mikey Moore set for Premier League games at Tottenham
Although it is not expected Moore will be starting games from the off on Monday night, it is encouraging to hear that he is going to be involved in the first team.
Moore was rewarded with his debut and some extra appearances towards the back end of the last Premier League campaign.
Now it is about gradually integrating him into the side across the season with Spurs fans hoping for more regular minutes in the Premier League.
But the Europa League is likely going to offer Moore with a great platform to start building from in a Spurs shirt over the coming months.
This does not bode well for some of the other Spurs wingers with the likes of Manor Solomon a potential departure over the coming weeks at Tottenham.
