Report: Arsenal bid for ‘amazing’ £50m int’l last month and he could now be sold to spark transfer scramble
Spanish striker, Alvaro Morata, could be the man to spark a late transfer scramble during the current window, according to .
Writing in the latest edition of the newsletter, Miguel Delaney claims that the former Chelsea striker might be the piece that falls to spark others into action. Of course, it was only last month that Arsenal were said to be lining up a move for Morata if they missed out on Gabriel Jesus.

As we know, Arsenal did get that deal for Jesus over the line. But that doesn’t mean Morata won’t be on the move, and in turn, spark a whole raft of transfers.
“Into the final month of the transfer window we go and there are still a whole lot of deals waiting on completion, rumoured to be on the table or still in negotiations,” Delaney wrote in his .
“The expectation is that one particular transfer could spark a merry-go-round to an extent, but it’s about who blinks first. Atletico Madrid might offload either Antoine Griezmann or Alvaro Morata, Juventus still want a front man, Cristiano Ronaldo still wants the Champions League and several Premier League sides are still linked with forwards further down the chain too.”
Dubbed an ‘‘ striker in the past, it’s safe to say the Spaniard hasn’t quite hit the heights he might have expected, despite a glittering career.
TBR’s View: Morata Has A Point To Prove In England
Well, he might have anyway. His time with Chelsea wasn’t half disappointing in the end and he’s done well to rebuild himself a bit over in Italy and Spain.
The problem for Morata now when it comes to the Premier League is who takes him? Arsenal landed Jesus, Chelsea surely won’t go back for him, and Antonio Conte doesn’t really need him at Spurs. Liverpool are a no, and Manchester United will probably avoid him as well.
