Alasdair Gold reveals what he’s most recently been told about Tottenham and Marcus Edwards

Tottenham have been linked with a move for Marcus Edwards for a little while now.

The winger is a Tottenham academy graduate, and with Spurs currently struggling to meet their homegrown quota, it has been suggested that re-signing Edwards could be a smart move.

It was reported last week that Spurs𒉰 were looking atꦑ Edwards, and , Alasdair Gold has 🥀provided the latest on this transfer saga.

According to Gold, Spurs ar🌌e still keeping an ꦦeye on Edwards, but, the last time he checked, no official approach had happened.

Tottenham yet to approach Marcus Edwards

Gold shared what he’d heard about Edwards the las♔t time he chec♛ked on this situation.

“From my knowledge, I k🅷now that Spurs are at least keeping an eye on the situation of Marcus Edwards as a potential option,” Gold said.

“I’m not saying it’s a move that is definitely going to happen and no approach has been made to Sporting as of yet or when I last chec💎ked in it hadn’t, but he’s being considered as a potential solution to that problem.”

Edwards would be a smart signing

Spurs haven’t approached🌠 Edwards yet, but don’t be too surprised if there is moveme🀅nt on this front at some point this summer.

Indeed, Edwa🐻rds would be a very logical signing ♓for Tottenham.

Not o⭕nly is this a talent🦩ed player with tons of talent, he’s homegrown and he’s available at a cut-price for Spurs due to their sell-on clause.

Everything adds up to suggest that this would be a logical signing for Tottenham, and it wouldn’t be a shock at all if Spurs did advance🐠 on this one once the transfer window is officially open.

Edwards could be back in north London six years ꧂on from his initial departure from Spurs as a 20-year-old.
