Alan Shearer says what he would do if Arsenal offered £150m for Newcastle’s Alexander Isak now

Alexander Isak is the talk of the Premier League at the moment after his incredible run of goalscoring form.

The Newcastle striker has scored in seven league games in a row, and he was at it again in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday as Newcastle beat Arsenal.

Isak impressed against Arsenal on Tuesday, and that💯 performance will only fuel the fires of recent transfer speculation.

Indeed, Isak has been linked to Arsenal recently, and Mikel Arteta is a huge fan of Isak according to some.

Understandably, Newcastle supporters are getting rather antsy about these links, and speaking on The Rest is Football, Alan Shearer has been asked if he would sell Isak for £1💯50m.

Shearer🐻 spoke about the idea of selling Isak to Arsenal.

The pundit was asked if he would sell the strik📖er for £150m, but he was ജsteadfast when saying that he would reject any such offer.

Isak is happy to stay at Newcastle for now, but with no new contract sig🅰ned, his future could come into question at some point.

“W𒉰ould Alan sell Isak to Arsenal for £150m?” Shearer was asked.

“No is the answer. Who are they going to go out and get who will come to Newcastle and do ꦺa similar job? Centre-forward is the most important position. He’s one of ꦫthe reasons they’re sitting fifth and in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup,” Shearer said.

“What would the fans do with the money? No, I wouldn’t no. You spend £50m or £60m on another striker. Who? Where? They’re really🎀 difficult to find, wh𒉰en you have a good one why would you let him go for any price.”

What Newcastle could do with £150m

Shearer says that Newcastle shouldn’t sell Isak for £150m, and it’s♍ easy to underst🌳and why.

Indeed, £150m doesn’t get you very much these days in the grand scheme of thi🥂nﷺgs.

Marc Guehi was a Newcastle target in the summ🌄er, and he was valued at around £70m, so that🐠’s half of the Isak fee right there.

Meanwhile Newcastle were keen on Anthony Elanga in the summer and he was set to cost north of𒐪 £50m too.

All of a sudden, after those two potential signings, Newcastle could have💞 just £30m leftover to sign an Isak replacement, and that simply isn’t enough.

The reality is that Isak brings way more than £150m worth of value to this Newcastle team right😼 now, and unless the market situations change, the Magpies sho♛uld bat away any interest in Isak.

Is𝓡ak has got to that level where he is genuinely a player who is priceless to his team.
