Adel Taarabt checks in at Craven Cottage.

After Queens Park Rangers relegation to The Chܫampionship last season Adel Taarabt has decided to jump ship to London rivals Fulham on a season long loan.

Taa♒rabt said: “This was a difficult decision for me, but at this stage of my career I feel I need to be playing at the top level.”  The 24 year old had spent 4 years at QPR where he captained the club to promotion in 2011 and made 150 league appearances.

The Moroccan🃏 has a tendency to frustrate managers and fans whilst at the same time provide them with moments🍨 of genius and magic not many others are capable of. One of English footballs notoriously “no nonsense” managers Neil Warnock was even won over by the skill and spark of Taarabt, so much so he decided to hand him the captains armband as he enjoyed his best season in England and QPR were crowned Championship champions.

It’s clear this is a player with enormous talent, yet finding the consistency to perform at the level he is capable ofꩲ week in week out has so far eluded him in The Premier League. Martin Jol brought Taarabt to England ✱at Tottenham Hotspur in 2007 where he struggled to get games and perform under a range of different managers. The fact Jol has taken him under his wing again at Fulham shows he has faith in the winger and he will be looking to get the most out of a player who can prove lethal when in full flow.  Such is Taarabt’s appeal Paris Saint Germain where even rumoured to be on the look for his signature in 2011.

Taarabt insists he would ✤like to return to Loftus Road in the future, proclaiming -“I hopeꦫ the fans understand my decision and I really hope to return to Loftus Road one day”. “I wish QPR well for the season and hope they achieve promotion back to where I believe the club belongs.”
