£27m Tottenham player could join Barcelona before deadline day
It’s shaping up to be a hectic end to the summer transfer window as numerous big clubs look to buy and sell players before next Friday’s deadline.
Tottenham Hotspur have work to do before the deadline, but most of their focus will seemingly be on player sales.
Indeed, Spurs want to focus on selling players between now and the end of the transfer window, and one player who will soon be out the door is Sergio Reguilon.
Reguilon has no future at Tottenham, and according to Dharmesh Sheth, speaking on Last Word on Spurs, a move to Barcelona could be possible before the deadline.

Sheth shared his verdict on Reguilon.
“Is this a move you can see happening between now and the end of the window?” Sheth was asked.
“Yeah, potentially. I mean, whenever I hear that Barcelona are in for a player it’s always with a pinch of salt. They’re happy to let Ilkay Gundogan leave, because they’re wanting to reduce the wage bill, but also because they want to register Dani Olmo,” Sheth said.
“With regards to Reguilon, they will try to do a deal on their terms rather than on Tottenham’s terms. Tottenham want to make a sale, that is 100% the case. Can Barcelona purchase him? We know he won’t cost that much, Barcelona will be well aware that he is a player Tottenham want to sell.”

Sergio Reguilon hasn’t played his best football over the past five years or so, but he’s continuously found himself getting these brilliant moves.
Reguilon has been on the books of Sevilla, Real Madrid, Tottenham, Manchester United and now potentially Barcelona over the past half a decade.
Reguilon hasn’t ripped up any trees at any of these clubs, so it’s slightly confusing how he continues to get these moves.
The Spaniard’s agent must be working overtime in order to secure such deals for his client time and time again.
