£21m Liverpool target suggests he would actually prefer to join Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace and Liverpool are both rumoured to be fighting for the same player before the February 3rd transfer deadline.
Crystal Pal🍸ace are preparing a new £15m bid for El Hadji Maဣlick Diouf after seeing a £12.5m offer rejected – with Oliver Glasner keen to bring the Slavia Prague No.12 to 𒈔Selhurst Park.
The Senegal international would represent a more attack-minded option than Tyrick Mitchell down the left flank for Crystal Palace.
However, Liverpool are also in talks to sign Diouf – who is valued at £21m – with the Re🍒ds making contingency plans to replace Andy Robertsoꦺn and Kostas Tsimikas in future.
Now,ꩲ the Senegalese left w🌠ing-back has spoken to about his future.
El Hadji Malick Diouf comments suggest he is leaning towards Crystal Palace move
The 20-year-old was directly asked about rumours involving Liverpool and Crystal Palace💧, stressing his desire for regular playing time wherever he ends upౠ.
Diouf said: “I can see what is happening around me, but I am definitely not distracted by it. I am concentrating on myself, on Slavia, I have no reason to rush. I told my u💦ncle, my agent, the same thing. He knows everything, and I know that one day I will take the next step. That day🎐 is approaching, but I have to be convinced it is happening at the ideal moment so as not to slow down my development.
“I don’t know if that is true (about Liverpool).🐼 Yes, it sounds nice, but would I play for Liverpool? Would I fit in ther😼e? For me, it is essential that I don’t stop. It is difficult to move from the substitute bench. I need to play.”

In our view, this suggests𒁃 the Ziguinchor-born𒐪 talent would be more open to joining Crystal Palace than Liverpool, where he is likely to immediately replace Mitchell.
Glasner already hinted that he wants a more attacking option down that flank to replicate the energetic Daniel Munoz, saying: “We have to accept that he will never be a Daniel Munoz. Danny has a natural skill – an attacking way. He (Mitchell) comes more🐈 from the defensive part. I think he has improved already, but he still has potential within this.”
Diouf has impressively sco♛red six goals and provided three assists in 18 Chance Liga appearances so far this season – helping Slavia Prague sit seven points clear at the top of the table.
El Hadji Malick Diouf may soon have even less competition if he joins Crystal Palace
Diouf might not be competing against Mitchell for long if Crystal Palace do strike an agreement with Slavia Prague.
