18-year-old Spurs forward now on 10 goals from 12 appearances in 2023/24
Tottenham Hotspur academy forward Will Lankshear is now in double figures for goals scored so far this season.
The 18-year-old Spurs gem has bounced back this term after spending much of the second half of last season on the sidelines through injury.
On Friday night, Lankshear scored a brace to help Tottenham’s Under-21s beat Southampton’s Under-21s in Premier League 2 action.
The youngster’s goals helped Wayne Burnett’s Spurs charges make it an impressive 10 consecutive wins in their league.
Tottenham twice took the lead and were twice pegged back on the south coast before Lankshear helped seal victory late on.

Max Robson opened the scoring for Spurs in the first half, but a Cameron Bragg penalty just after the break made it 1-1.
Lankshear then struck with a composed finish just before the hour mark, before Alejandro Gomes Rodrigues seemingly earned a share of the spoils late on.
Then came Lankshear’s fortuitous winner, the ball coming off his head and going into the back of the net from Sonnie Davis’ attempted clearance inside the Saints six-yard box.
Tottenham talent Will Lankshear ‘a force to be reckoned with’
Lankshear now has eight goals and one assist from nine Premier League 2 outings, plus two goals and an assist from his three EFL Trophy outings in 2023/24.
It’s always great to see a young Spurs talent registering such impressive goal and assist stats, but even more so when the player in question has had to bounce back from injury.
As per , Lankshear joined Tottenham in a £2million deal from Sheffield United in August 2022, and didn’t need long to make a name for himself at Hotspur Way.
He hit the ground running with nine goals in nine matches for the U18s including one in the UEFA Youth League before needing to have surgery.
Lankshear has very much picked up from where he left off. Alasdair Gold’s had backed him to be “a force to be reckoned with” earlier this season, and that’s very much proving the case.
