18-year-old released by Arsenal now has 13 goals in 13 outings for Spurs U21s

Tottenham Hotspur academy forward Will Lankshear – who was at Arsenal until 2021 – continues to go from strength to strength in the Spurs Under-21 setup.

The 18-year-old Tottenham talent was released by Arsenal three years ago, as per . Now he’s at Spurs and is absolutely flying.

Lankshear has been instrumental in his side’s incredible Premier League 2 campaign so far, with a staggering 11 wins from 11 matches.

The young forward now has 13 goals from 13 games in all competitions this season and bagged a hat-trick for Spurs in their latest fixture.

Tottenham U21s ran out 5-3 winners over their Aston Villa counterparts on Saturday afternoon and Lankshear helped his side come from behind to triumph.

Spurs twice fell behind in the first half, but Lankshear drew his side level on both occasions either side of the break.

Tyrese Hall and Jude Soonsup-Bell then scored to put Tottenham 4-2 up before Lankshear completed his hat-trick in the 78th minute.

Although Villa netted again late on, it proved a mere consolation as Wayne Burnett’s charges extended their amazing winning run in the league.

Lankshear joined Sheffield United shortly after leaving Arsenal, and just a year later, he was on the move to Tottenham.

As per , Lankshear joined Spurs in a £2million deal from the Blades in August 2022, and didn’t need long to make a name for himself at Hotspur Way.

He hit the ground running with nine goals in nine matches for the U18s including one in the UEFA Youth League before needing to have surgery.

That’s in the past now, and Lankshear is showing that he has a real “gift to score goals”, as Paul Heckingbottom told Yorkshire Live – via – in 2022.

Arsenal may well regret letting Lankshear go. The Gunners’ loss is now Spurs’ gain.
