£17m midfielder Arsenal have loaned out described as ‘a wonderful player’

Albert Sambi Lokonga struggled to make an impact at Arsenal under manager Mikel Arteta, but the midfielder seems to have impressed Rob Edwards at Luton Town.

Edwards has noted ꧋how good Lokonga has been for Luton and has said whether or not he wants to keep the midfielder at Luton for the long term.

So, what has been said about Albert Sambi Lokonga? Let’s take a look.

Praise for Albert Sambi Lokonga

Well, Luton Town managꩵer Rob Edwards has been raving about Albert Sambi Lokonga.

Lokonga joined Luton on a season-long loan deal from Premier League rivals Arsenal in the summer of 2023.

The 24-year-old central midfielder has struggled to make an impact𓃲 at A💫rsenal.

The Gunner🎉s signed the Belgium i♌nternational for £17.2 million () from Anderlecht in 2021.

Lokonga had a loan spell at Crystal Palac♌e last season, and now the midfꦿielder is on loan at Luton.

The midfielder has had injury problems this season, but he is fit and available now. And, as you can see below, Luton manager Edwards has been hugely impressed by him.

When asked if he would take the chance to snap up Lokonga if the opportunity arose to do so, Edward🍎s said, as quoted in : “Yes, I think he’s a wonderful player, a brilliant person as well and he’s fitted 🐠in great.

“I don’t think right now is the rig༒ht thing for him, we just want him to focus on himself and playing and continue to do what he’s doing.

“I had a really good chat with him out there after training, just to say how pleased I am with him, how much we all love him, we enjoy having him around and weไ’re really lucky to have him here. I think he’s really enjoying it and we’re seeing the best of him right now.”

My View: No long-term future at Arsenal for Albert Sambi Lokonga

﷽In my opinion, Albert Sambi Lokonga does not have a l♐ong-term future at Arsenal.

ꦗI think that Lokonga should leave Arsenal for good at the end of the season. If Luton survive the dreaded drop to the Championship and are willing to sign him on a permanent contract, then the midfielder should seriously consider it.

If Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta really rated𝕴 Lokonga highly, then ꦗhe would not have sent him out on loan to Palace or to Luton.

Lokonga h♍as made six starts and on🧔e substitute appearance in the Premier League for Luton this season. He has given one assist in those games.
