‘You’ve got to worry’: Chairman suggests he’s concerned for Nottingham Forest man now, after what’s happened this summer
Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has suggested he is concerned for Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper after what’s happened this summer.
and raised concerns over Cooper’s contract situation.
Forest got off to a fairly decent start in the Premier League this season as they earned a point at Goodison Park and beat West Ham.
But Cooper’s men have now fallen to three straight defeats and MacAnthony is worried for the Welsh boss.

Chairman concerned for Cooper
“The one I worry about is Steve Cooper. He never got his new contract, they’re spending £150 million, and you have got to worry if you’re Steve Cooper – why didn’t you get a new contract?,” MacAnthony said.
“I’m not questioning the Forest owner because I don’t know him, but he doesn’t look like the kind of guy with a lot of patience.
“If they lose another couple of games, is that why they haven’t given him a new contract? If he suddenly gets a new contract, brilliant, but there isn’t one for the man and after everything he did last year you’d think he would have got one.
“That’s an interesting one, they have obviously choked up at home a big league, and he’ll be under pressure soon.”

Cooper has done an excellent job at Forest since taking over last season.
The Welsh boss took on a struggling side and spearheaded them back into the Premier League.
If any manager deserves patience, you’d think it would be Cooper after getting Forest back into the top-flight after a 23-year wait.
And Cooper may certainly need time after bringing in 21 signings as he aims to get his new players up to speed.
The Forest boss still has just under two-years left on his current deal and will be hoping to turn his side’s form around before pressure mounts from above.
