Youri Tielemans says Aston Villa have a top talent who ‘has everything’

Aston Villa are flying high at present, sitting pretty in the Premier League’s top four and with a perfect record in the Champions League.

The Villans have recorded victories over Young Boys, Bayern Munich and Bologna in the competition, the latter win coming on Tuesday night.

John McGinn opened the scoring for Villa on 55 minutes with a free kick that evaded everyone, skipped off the turf and bounced into the far corner of the net.

Nine minutes later, Jhon Duran put the Villans out of reach with a neat flick from Morgan Rogers’ delivery to also find the far corner of Bologna’s goal.

Duran and Rogers have both been revelations for Unai Emery’s side, and teammate Youri Tielemans has sung both of their praises.

Youri Tielemans says Jhon Duran “has everything” and Morgan Rogers is his “pocket”

Tielemans, speaking to TNT Sports after the game, said Duran is a player who “has everything” and is an “all-round striker”.

The Belgium international then said Rogers is more suited to the pockets and joked about what he calls the English forward.

“Duran has everything,” said Tielemans, as transcribed by . “He has technique, he can hold the ball and can flick on. He is an all round striker.

“Morgan [Rogers] is more suited into the pockets. I joke with him calling him my pocket as I need him in those areas to get to my passes.”

Tielemans was also asked about Duran’s reaction when Emery substituted him just after his goal.

As per , the 20-year-old did not react well, punching and kicking a seat in the dugout and needing to be calmed down by staff.

Emery said after the game that he had “no problem” with Duran’s reaction and Tielemans also sought to downplay what his teammate did.

“He is really funny,” said Tielemans. “The manager does not care. He knows everyone wants to play. It is part of the game.”
