‘You have a problem’… Tottenham player now told he’s being underpaid by Daniel Levy

Tottenham Hotspur signed Radu Dragusin yesterday, and the Romanian has now been told that he’s being underpaid by Daniel Levy.

Spurs deserve a lot of praise for the business they’ve done in this window. Timo Werner has come in on loan until the end of the season, while Eric Dier has left the club. Dragusin’s arrival, however, is the biggest statement they’ve made so far, but some people in his home country aren’t too happy.

Radu Dragusin told he’s being underpaid at Tottenham

Tottenham paid £26.7 million to sign Radu Dragusin from Genoa yesterday ().

That is not a big amount at all for a Premier League club in today’s world, but Dragusin was a wanted man in this window, wasn’t he?

Napoli tried really hard to get him before Tottenham, as did Bayern Munich, who got really close to his signature but were then rejected by the 21-year-old.

Dragusin has signed a contract until the summer of 2030 at Spurs, worth £50,000-a-week [], which is £2.6 million a year (€3m).

Former Romania international Basarab Panduru thinks that is a very small salary package for someone who was involved in a transfer saga between Bayern Munich and Tottenham.

He said on : “If De Ligt earns €17 million, there is no way Dragusin earns less than €5 million. Anything less means that it was not negotiated properly.

“When Tottenham and Bayern fight for you, and the lowest salary is €10 million at Bayern, and you ask for €3 million, it means that there is a problem. You don’t know how to negotiate. You have a problem.

You must give him his salary, as much as you gave him. Dragusin should have €5 million if De Ligt gets €17 million. That’s what I’m saying. There is no way you will receive €2-3 million. There’s no way you’re getting €2.8 million. Never! At least €5 million.

“There are two teams that pay through the nose. How do I get this salary? Is that what Tottenham wants? No, give me as much as I want. The agent must fight for him, to have a high salary.

“Bayern doesn’t give you €3 million. Nobody earns (as low as) €3 million at Bayern. If De Ligt is in 10th place, with €17 million, I don’t say how much Kane gets.”

A look at Tottenham’s highest-paid players

Radu Dragusin, unsurprisingly, is nowhere near the top of Tottenham‘s highest-paid players list, as revealed by .

Skipper Heung-min Son is at the top, earning £190,000-a-week, with Ivan Perisic, James Maddison and Cristian Romero being the only other Spurs players earning £165,000 or higher.

Dejan Kulusevski, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Richarlison all earn around the £100,000-a-week mark.

Dragusin, who reportedly earns £50,000 a week, is on par with fellow defender Micky van de Ven, but the likes of Ryan Sessegnon, Manor Solomon and even Fraser Forster pocket more.
