‘You forget how tall he is’… Pundit says £7m Leeds player is actually brilliant in the air
Patrick Bamford has rediscovered his best form for Leeds recently.
The striker has shown the Championship this season what a former England international looks like, and he’s played a huge part in Leeds’ fantastic form as of late.
Bamford has been utterly brilliant as of late, and he played his part again on Friday night against Sheffield Wednesday with his link-up play.
Speaking on the , Ben Parker has been discussing Bamford’s recent showings, and he’s highlighted how fantastic the striker actually is in the air, claiming that it’s easy to forget just how physical a player Bamford actually is.

Patrick Bamford is great in the air
Parker spoke about the striker.
“If Bamford doesn’t start on Friday for that first goal we don’t score it. He is physical, he’s a tall guy, you kind of forget how tall he is, for the second goal it’s Bamford who wins the first header, his importance around these factors are a massive reason why he’s playing well and the rest of the team are playing well,” Parker said.

Parker is right, it is very easy to forget just how physical a player Bamford is.
Perhaps it’s because he burst onto the scene as a scrawny teenager during his loan spells away from Chelsea, but you rarely think of Bamford as this dominating centre-forward.
However, after working hard in the gym and becoming wiser in his older years, the striker is a proper handful now, and his ability to win headers and bully defenders is massive for Leeds.
Bamford looks to be getting something close to back to his best, and if Leeds do end up back in the Premier League next season, we wouldn’t be surprised at all if he rediscovers his form from that incredible 2020/21 season.
Bamford is back playing his best stuff at the moment, and it’s brilliant to watch.
