‘You can see’: Pochettino blown away by the work-rate of £7m player Tottenham reportedly want to sign

Tottenham reportedly want to sign Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton and Argentine countryman Mauricio Pochettino is a fan.

Mac Allister is preparing for the World Cup final where he and his teammates will be looking to overcome France and lift the trophy.

Pochettino told the that while Lionel Messi is the key man – clearly – he needs the workrate of his teammates around him.

That includes Mac Allister, who joined Brighton for but has surely significantly increased his value now.

Pochettino hails Mac Allister

He wrote: “Of course, Argentina need Messi, but Messi needs the other 10 players to fight for him in every single moment.

“It has been one of the keys of this side, how they all believe that by playing for Messi, they can win the World Cup.

“And you can see the players are giving 120 per cent to do this. Different players; Rodrigo De Paul, Alexis Mac Allister, Enzo Fernandez, Julian Alvarez, they are giving all they have and more, and they are doing it for Messi.

“They are giving everything because this is their dream, they are so close, and when they have Messi, they know everything is possible.”

Tottenham are interested in Brighton star Mac Allister, with a number of European sides now admirers of the 23-year-old, .

Inter Milan are particularly interested but Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Spurs are also admirers of the man who could lift the biggest prize in world football on Sunday.

Antonio Conte is not the type of manager to ever be content with the squad he has and he will keep pushing for improvements.
