Defender Mina has been with the club for two seasons now but has been interrupted with a couple of injuries while at Goodison Park.

However, he is seemingly raring to go under Carlo Ancelotti and is hoping for some more ‘very good moments’ with the club.

“Today it’s been two years since I came to Everton, a city and a fandom that very well received me and my family.

“I’ve had very good moments with the club, but many more still remain. This team, for historical and traditional reasons, deserves to be at the top and we will fight to do so.

“We’ll go for more, always accompanied by the grace of God.”

Mina made just shy of 30 Premier League appearances last season but finished the campaign out of the squad for the final three games.

The Colombian will be hoping to cement himself as first-choice over the summer, then, as he looks to help guide the Toffees towards the European places this time around.

This is good news, Mina is a good defender at this level – TBR View

Any news of players staying put, especially good ones, is normally a good thing so Mina seemingly committing his future is a good bit of news for the Toffees.

He’s an international defender, for one, and has also proven himself at this level already. Having him fully-invested in proceedings at Goodison gives Everton a better chance of doing well in the league.
