Yerry Mina discusses working with Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti
Everton’s colossus defender Yerry Mina has explained that the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti as manager has been a real positive and he’s delighted to work with him.
The Toffees turned to the 60-year-old Italian boss in December to take charge and he’s beginning to oversee improvements on the pitch.
His team are now up to ninth in the Premier League table and there is an opportunity to sneak into the European spots if they finish the season strongly.
Ancelotti is a high-profile manager that has taken charge at the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan, Juventus and Napoli in the past.
He’s a three-time Champions League winner as a coach and his last spell in England saw him win the Premier League at Chelsea in the 2009/10 season.
Mina, who scored twice in the 3-2 win over Watford last weekend, is delighted to be working with Ancelotti and has praised his influence.
“We are getting better every day and working with this manager is brilliant,”
“Carlo Ancelotti is a top manager and coach and a good friend. He is with the players all the time and always smiling.
“This is special because if you have any issues, you can tell Carlo. It is important that you can express yourself.”

TBR’s View:
Ancelotti is already making a big impression by the sounds of it in the Everton dressing room and a number of players have stepped up since his appointment, which is no surprise when such a big name arrives at Goodison Park.
It would be a miraculous achievement to qualify for Europe considering their poor first half of the season, but the inconsistency of teams above them means they are in with a chance.
There are some quality individuals on the books at Everton, but in reality Ancelotti may need another couple of transfer windows to really turn them into his team.
