Yaya Toure previously told Arsenal’s top transfer target to join Tottenham

Tottenham coach Yaya Toure has previously told Declan Rice to join Spurs, but he is now Arsenal’s top midfield target.

ඣThe are among the outlets reporting that Rice is the Gunners’ primary aim for the summer transfer window, by which time they could be Premier League champions.

𒁏They report that Arsenal are now more confident over beating Chelsea to the punch and as it stands, they are much more likely to be able to offer Champions League football next season.

ꦦBack in November, Toure and Rice did a YouTube video together for , where they looked at shirts the Englishman has picked up from two Spurs players – Harry Kane and Heung-min Son.

Toure has told Rice to join Tottenham

🗹Toure said: “Harry Kane – Tottenham! You have to come and play at Tottenham and you have two (shirts) on there!”

Rice replied: “I know, Son, what a player…”

Rice has been called a ‘completeꦑ‘ player and it looks more and more likely that he will be on the move in the summer when his Hammers contract will have just one year to run.

🐟Rice cost £80 million in the summer, but that is less than the £150 million Manchester United were quoted last season.

ꦏAnd that is around the fee that Arsenal were looking at paying for Mykhailo Mudryk although it seems the structure of guaranteed money and add-ons were not enough to get the deal done ahead of Chelsea.

𓆏Signing Rice would be a huge statement by Arsenal, especially if they have just won the league at that point, but we are only halfway through the season and there is a long way to go yet.
