Report: Galatasaray eyeing ‘special’ West Ham ace; Moyes has listed him as ‘desirable’ since last summer

The publication are claiming that the Irons are looking to part ways with the Ukraine international.

Yarmolenko is set to be a free agent at the end of next season with the club looking to move him on this summer.

However, his agent has confirmed Turkey sides are interested in him with Galatasaray constantly calling.

He was a peripheral figure under David Moyes, featuring just 24 times across all competitions.

TBR View: Yarmolenko sale makes no sense in already stressful transfer window for West Ham

This summer proves a crucial one for the east Londoners.

For the first time since the 2016/2017 season, the Hammers have qualified for Europe.

And David Moyes must ensure his team don’t follow the likes of Burnley and Wolves in falling off. The aforementioned duo qualified for Europe one season before failing the next term.

Recruitment will be a key aspect of ensuring West Ham can maintain their fifth-place standing.

However, signing a raft of attackers would be a bold and risky tactic. For that reason, retaining the experienced Yarmolenko would be a better plan.

His experience in European football can act as a guide for the many West Ham players who are yet to taste continental competition.

The Ukrainian has scored 20 goals across European competition, a level of experience which would do the outfit a world of good.

Doing a complete overhaul of the attack would be a poor plan from West Ham. Out of their current squad, Yarmolenko is the one player who can’t leave West Ham this transfer window.
