Yannick Bolasie drops biggest hint yet that he will fight for Everton place next season

Everton winger Yannick Bolasie has dropped a big hint about where he will be playing his football next season, seemingly hinting at a Goodison Park stay.

The DR Congo international was responding to a fan who asked the 31-year-old where he will be playing his football next season.

He then made it clear that he will be at Goodison Park unless Everton dramatically hastens work on their new stadium development.

The overriding message from Bolasie was simple, he will be at Everton.

Signed from Crystal Palace in 2016 for a the wideman has had a rough time with injuries at Everton whilst the merry-go-round of managers at Goodison Park has not helped his cause either.

He has not played a game for Everton since May 2018 and has since been out on loan with Aston Villa, Anderlecht, and Sporting Lisbon with varying degrees of success.

Now it seems he is open to another crack with Everton this season in what is the final year of his contract on Merseyside.

Of course, it is possible that Carlo Ancelotti is ready and willing to give Bolasie a chance to work his way back into the Everton fold.

But it seems unlikely. Unfortunately, despite Bolasie’s good nature and undoubted ability, injuries seem to have ravaged his Everton career and it is hard to see him getting back into the first-team picture.

However, if he is willing to fight for his place, Everton fans will undoubtedly wish him luck. If he ends up being a surprise comeback kid, nobody will be complaining.
