Yannick Bolasie delivers nine-word Instagram verdict after new Arsenal blow

Yannick Bolasie has reacted on Instagram after Arsenal confirmed Granit Xhaka would be sidelined for the next three months – with a knee issue.

Xhaka, who turned 29 on Monday, came off after 82 minutes on Sunday evening during the 3-1 win over Tottenham – in the first NLD of 2021-22.

Scans have since shown that the Switzerland international has suffered knee ligament damage. However, the midfielder will not require surgery.

It is a blow for the Gunners, who will now have to fend without Xhaka until the new year – most likely. Albert Lokonga is likely to come in for Xhaka.

, stating that Xhaka saw a specialist on Tuesday – who diagnosed the issue, ruling out surgery.

What has Bolasie said about Arsenal star Xhaka and his injury?

The left-footed midfielder has been excellent for Arsenal in the last few weeks. It has been a turbulent couple of years at The Emirates for Xhaka.

But under the guidance of Mikel Arteta and in a midfield three alongside Thomas Partey and Martin Odegaard – he has been excellent of late.

Promising some of his best football in Arsenal colours, it is a real blow to the midfielder and to Arteta’s way of playing. It finally suited him.

But as Xhaka drops out, in comes Lokonga. The signing from Anderlecht impressed in glimpses to begin with, but has since warmed the bench.

Bolasie has since posted on Instagram. The winger, an Arsenal fan, reacted to Sky Sports’ update – posting a nine-word message on Instagram.
