‘Makes no sense’: Liverpool fans react to reports linked Xherdan Shaqiri with a move
Liverpool could sell Xherdan Shaqiri during the current transfer window, if they receive a bid in the region of £33 million,
The Switzerland international was only used as a peripheral figure last season, featuring in just 30 games for the Reds.
Monaco are preparing a bid for the attacker and would increase his wages to a lofty £104,000-a-week.
It would probably represent a surprise should he depart, however. Liverpool offloaded Harry Wilson to Bournemouth on loan earlier this week, leaving Klopp with limited strength in depth.
The Reds have only added goalkeeper Adrian to their senior ranks this summer and he will act as an understudy to Alisson Becker.
Allowing the ace to leave would probably cause discontent among the Liverpool supporters.
Many feel that a few additions could have been added by Klopp this summer and have grown disgruntled the longer the Reds have gone without signings.
Of course, the squad at Liverpool is still pretty strong and the reigning Champions of Europe will be expected to be a force again during 2019/20.
