‘Wow, I’m astounded’: Mark Schwarzer shocked by Arsenal deadline day news
Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin left the Emirates Stadium on loan on transfer deadline day.
As the Gunners brought Takehiro Tomiyasu in from Bologna, Bellerin linked up with Real Betis.
The 26-year-old joined Arsenal’s academy in 2012 and became a first-team regular two years later.

Save for a loan spell at Watford, Bellerin has played for Arsenal his entire career, making over 200 senior appearances.
However, the Spaniard did not feature in any of the Gunners’ three opening games in the Premier League.
Mikel Arteta opted for Calum Chambers and Cedric Soares at right-back instead.
In addition, Bellerin had been linked with an Arsenal departure for months now.
Therefore, it wasn’t surprising to see him move on deadline day.
However, pundit Mark Schwarzer was still surprised by the news.

“Forgotten man… wow, I’m astounded by the fall from grace for the guy,” the Australia legend and Premier League icon .
“He was linked heavily with Barcelona, Arsenal securing him on a new long-term contract and I think the curse of a big contract at Arsenal (has struck again).
“Every time they get a new contract players just fall off the face of the earth and their form dips dramatically.
“He is certainly one that has fallen off the face.”
