Archie Gray could be worth a fortune

McAnuff spoke about the youngster.

“Archie Gray and Ampadu going into midfield, I thought they were excellent. I can’t speak highly enough of Archie Gray, an all-round very good team, all aspects of it are working and functioning perfectly. Nine wins on the bounce and just two conceded is an incredible run at this point of the season,” McAnuff said.

“The two that really impressed me, Archie Gray, just 17, his composure on the ball, and Ampadu, that looks a real good partnership. Chelsea had £200m worth of midfield talent and I looked at Archie Gray and thought ‘wow, what is he going to be worth in a few years if he carries on the trajectory he’s on.’”

Looks the part

McAnuff isn’t wrong, if Gray continues to play this way he could end up being one of the most valuable players in the country.

The game against Chelsea was his first test against so-called top class opposition and to say that he passed with flying colours would be an understatement.

Leeds fans won’t like to hear it, but Gray will have top clubs on his tail soon, but after signing a new contract with Leeds this season, he won’t be moving on the cheap, that’s for sure.
