‘World class’: West Ham fans rave about Jarrod Bowen against Chelsea
West Ham United won out against Chelsea today in a pulsating London derby in which Arthur Masuaku scored a late winner to keep the Hammers’ top four hopes well and truly alive.
Chelsea had the lead early on when Thiago Silva scored. However, West Ham fought back and equalised from the penalty spot through Manuel Lanzini. Mason Mount put the Blues 2-1 up, though, before West Ham once again came back through Jarrod Bowen.
Finally, near the end of normal time, Masuaku scored to send the London Stadium into a frenzy and seal a memorable win for the Hammers against their bitter rivals.
For West Ham fans, there was plenty to admire. But one of the players to seriously impress on the day was scorer of the second goal, Jarrod Bowen. The former Hull City star was exceptional throughout and could have even had another goal late on as well.
On the day, Bowen even outshone the ever-impressive Declan Rice, who was also excellent in the middle again.
Twitter was full of comments from Hammers fans singing his praises for his efforts against Chelsea.
