‘World-class’ player now decides he only wants to join Chelsea on deadline day
Victor Osimhen’s future is still not resolved as we tick into the final six hours of the transfer window, with Chelsea still in the mix to sign him.
A move to Al-Ahli looked all but done earlier today but Osimhen has been waiting around to see if Chelsea make a suitable proposal themselves.
The Nigerian striker looks like he’s going to see his future go right down to the wire and it remains to be seen if he’ll commit to the huge money on offer in Saudi.
Of course, while ever he does not sign that deal, Chelsea are there.
And according to journalist Rudy Galetti, Napoli are now considering whether they’d be best in letting Osimhen join Chelsea, even if the terms are not ideal.
Napoli considering Chelsea loan offer for Victor Osimhen
Taking to X to provide an update on the situation with Osimhen, Galetti has said that the striker has decided he only wants to join Chelsea.
In turn, that means Napoli are now considering what to do and it looks like they could end up accepting an offer well short of what they’ve wanted all along.
A loan offer with obligation to buy and payments spread out is on offer from Chelsea and Napoli are now considering that deal.
Chelsea to win the window with late Osimhen deal?
Chelsea have had their critics this window but if they get the deal for Victor Osimhen done then they’ll have officially won the window.
The Nigerian is a striker who walks into any team in Europe really and he would give the Blues a cutting edge they currently lack.
Regarded as a truly ‘world-class’ forward, Osimhen suddenly propels Chelsea from nearly men to challengers for Europe and more.
If this one comes off, especially beating off Saudi interest, it will be huge for the Blues.
