‘World class’ player Arsenal have enquired about gets 9/10 for last night’s display in stunning win
Arsenal target Memphis Depay helped Holland stun Belgium in the first game of their Nations League campaign last night.
The Dutch beat Roberto Martinez’s side 4-1 on their own patch, on a night where Depay scored twice to offer a reminder of his quality.
Last month, it was reported that the Gunners had asked about Depay as they look to bolster their frontline during the summer transfer window.
He could be available for just £17 million if he does move this summer, amid Barcelona’s money problems, which are well known.

Depay puts in 9/10 display for Holland v Belgium
That display earned Depay a rating of 9.15 out of 10 by , and his stats were eye catching.
He had six shots on the night, three of which were on target and of course two ended up in the back of the net.
He also laid on two key passes, and completed the same number of dribbles, which was a total bettered by nobody in an orange shirt.
Perhaps more performances like this would convince Barcelona to boost his transfer value, which would not be good news for Arsenal.
That said, it might encourage them to firm up their interest as they progress with their transfer business.
Depay has been described as ‘world class’ but he did not show that quality during his previous spell in English football with Manchester United.
It seems he has improved since leaving Old Trafford and would be an intriguing signing for the Gunners if they did get it over the line.
For now, his focus is on his country and performances like last night’s will go down a storm with his international boss Louis van Gaal.
