However – with relegation from the Premier League still a very real threat – the Old Gold want further additions after the Ivorian arrives at Molineux, with Wolves now considering Chelsea No.40 Renato Veiga.

Wolves keen to sign Renato Veiga from Chelsea

A story from the now states that Wolves want to sign the Portugal international to𒆙 further improve theꦺir defensive options.

V🎐eiga only arrived at Chelsea back in July ꦗ– joining in a £12m move from FC Basel – but has struggled for playing time under Enzo Maresca, making just one Premier League start.

Despite only arriving in west London a matter of months ago, the Daily Mail actually state that Veiga could leave Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis this Winter, with 🍌VfB Stuttgart, Napoli and Juventus also monitoring his situation.

Bournemouth are also keen on the versatile defender too, who can play as a centre-back or a full-back, although the Cherries would only be able to do a permanent deal with Kepa Arrizabalaga already on ღloan at the ꦦVitality Stadium from Chelsea.

What Roberto Martinez has previously said about Renato Veiga

Roberto Martinez – a very experienced coach with 265 Premier League games under his belt, as well as experience of managing Belgium and Portugal – is a fan of🃏 the Wolves target.

Martinez was impressed by Veiga during the most recent international break, speaking highly of his display after handing the youngster just his third 🍎cap for Po💝rtugal in a 1-1 UEFA Nations League draw against Croatia.

The Spaniard said: “Seeing a player like Renato Veiga, who is playing for the national team fo😼r the third time, (he) shows a great personality.”

If Maresca fails to hand the man born in Lisbon more action this month, he could well push for a move to Wolves – who also want Hakim Ziyech from Galatasaray according to repoꦰrts in Turkey.
