Wolves transfer: Club reportedly contact agent of 25-year-old Spurs target in last few days after Euro 2020 displays
Wolves have joined Spurs in the race to sign Ugurcan Cakir in the transfer window, that they are considering replacements for Rui Patricio.
Doubts remain over Patricio’s future at Molineux. It was reported on Sunday that the Portuguese is a target for Roma, with Jorge Mendes discussing a potential move with the Serie A side.

Interestingly, that the 33-year-old is set to be offered a new deal if he does not leave.
But it does appear that Wolves are keeping their options open in case they do decide to let Patricio leave.
They have already been linked with Sam Johnstone and Danny Ward. Both men, of course, have been involved with their countries at Euro 2020.
And they are not the only stoppers at the tournament on Wolves’ radar.

, Cakir’s displays for Turkey this summer have caught the club’s eye.
The report notes that Tottenham, Monaco and Inter Milan also want the 25-year-old Trabzonspor star.
Of course, it proved to be a disappointing tournament for Turkey. They suffered defeat in all three of their group games.
Nevertheless, the promise that Cakir has shown throughout his career has seemingly alerted clubs such as Wolves and Spurs.
Sporx adds that the former have made contact with his agent. They have wanted to learn how much Cakir would cost.
Wolves transfer surely more likely than Spurs move as things stand
Admittedly, Tottenham may soon need to sign a new goalkeeper. Hugo Lloris worried a lot of supporters with an intriguing answer he gave about his future before Euro 2020.
But as things stand, a move to Molineux for Cakir is surely more likely than a Spurs switch.
Patricio seems to have been heavily linked with Roma for some time now. So perhaps, this may not be the last Wolves fans hear of Cakir this summer.
