Wolves supporters react to Raul Jimenez’s late winner against Slovan Bratislava

Wolves find themselves five points ahead of Slovan Bratislava in their Europa League group with just two matches remaining after a 1-0 victory over the Slovakians at Molineux last night.

The Old Gold are on the brink of qualification for the knockout stages of Europe’s secondary competition after Raul Jimenez’s stoppage time header clinched victory.

Ruben Neves missed a second half penalty which would have made for a more comfortable evening’s work for Nuno Santo’s side but Jimenez stepped up.

There was an extended period of added on time because visiting defender Kenan Bajric suffered a head injury when caught by an attempted overhead kick by Jimenez.

Jimenez produced a respectful celebration to his winner, clearly muting it in respect to Bajric after the challenge for which he was booked.

And he is the man Wolves generally turn to when they’re in trouble, which has made him a real favourite with the supporters, who were keen to praise him once more on Twitter last night.

If Wolves have any designs on winning the Europa League, the goals of Jimenez will likely be vital and he provided yet another example to the delight of the online fanbase.
