Wolves summer transfer target Andre Silva sends Sevilla top of La Liga

After Gonzalo Higuain joined AC Milan, the Portuguese international was free to leave the San Siro.

Wolves were clearly trying to keep their spending down and in the end, completed Leo Bonatini’s permanent transfer and signed Raul Jimenez as their striker options.

Silva, though, is making them regret it.

“We have the will and the opportunity to keep the player here. Milan can say what they want, they’re looking at him again as are many other clubs who want him, but no-one can do anything.

“We have this option to buy and at the end of the season, or even before, we’ll exercise it.”

Wolves will no doubt wish they could have used their Mendes links to bring Silva to Molineux this summer.
