Jimenez, on loan from Portuguese outfit Benfica, has started every single Premier League game so far under Nuno Espirito Santo, and it is clear the Mexico international is top dog at the moment, with Leo Bonatini playing second fiddle.

There’s an interesting statistic that suggests Jimenez is simply crucial to Wolves’ attack.

Goal involvement shows productivity

Currently, Jimenez has registered two goals and three assists in the Premier League.

His three assists are very encouraging, because it shows that there is a creative side to his game and that he isn’t just about goals, which should come more frequently as the season wears on.

Jimenez’s link-up play is very impressive, and his contributions to the team are obvious.

The way he holds the ball up and brings the inside forwards and wing-backs into play is excellent, and it’s something Bonatini cannot do as well.

Jimenez has created 11 chances so far, which is bettered by only two other strikers in the division.

Make no bones about it; Jimenez is already crucial to Wolves and could fire them to a solid mid-table position at least.
