Wolves striker Raul Jimenez can cash in after international break
Wolverhampton Wanderers centre-forward Raul Jimenez scored the decisive goal for Mexico in a win over Costa Rica on Friday and is set to play a key role for his club in the upcoming fixtures.
The 27-year-old went into the international break in good form, scoring one goal and supplying three assists in his previous four Premier League matches.
He managed to stretch that form by coming off the bench for nation Mexico in the second-half against Costa Rica and scoring his penalty in a 3-2 victory.
The striker could be in contention for minutes in a friendly against Chile next week, before he returns to Molineux for the resumption of club football.
Wolves are seventh-placed in the Premier League table right now with 15 points from eight games and things could get even better for them considering the favourable fixture list ahead of them.
Nuno’s side do face Watford, Tottenham and Arsenal during that run, but also come up against Brighton, Huddersfield and Cardiff City too.
Jimenez should be ready to cash in with a handful of goals in the next six games, as he is likely to get plenty of goalscoring opportunities against some of the division’s weaker teams.
He is a striker that is beginning to build up ahead of steam and it seems only a matter of time before he starts converting chances at a more regular rate for Wolves.
