Wolves should target Mooy to compete with Moutinho and Neves
In Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves, Wolverhampton Wanderers have a midfield which is the envy of most Premier League sides bar the top six.
The Portuguese pair work so well together, pulling the strings from midfield and laying the platform for Wolves’ success.
But Nuno Espirito Santo will not be content with just having Moutinho and Neves impressing in midfield.
Instead, he will want competition for places in midfield. High-aiming Wolves need strength in depth to take the club to the next level and compete for the European spots.
There are plenty of midfielders who would fit in well at Wolves and Aaron Mooy of Huddersfield Town would suit Nuno’s style of play.

The Australia international is a delight to watch when he is on the ball. His ability to pick a pass is impressive and you never expect him to lose the ball.
Mooy is head and shoulders above the rest of his Huddersfield team-mates and while he will feel allegiance to the Terriers, the chance to join Wolves in January could tempt him.
The 28-year-old would be trading a relegation dogfight for the luxury of mid-table comfort, if both sides’ current form keeps up.
Being able to boast a midfield of Moutinho, Neves and Mooy would bolster Wolves’ hopes of success this season.
